Stella Goodrich (’17) is SDG & E’s Newest Litigation Research Attorney

November 26, 2018

2017 alumna Stella Goodrich is the newest Litigation Research Attorney for San Diego Gas & Electric. While working toward her J.D. from Thomas Jefferson School of Law, she also worked for tech giant Qualcomm. Stella served as an editor of the Thomas Jefferson Law Review. She earned numerous awards, including the Witkin Award for Academic Excellence, and CALI Excellence for the Future Award. After passing the California Bar Exam on her first attempt, she also passed the Texas Bar Exam during the following bar cycle.

As Stella reports: “I credit my success to multiple professors who provided invaluable advice and knowledge! Professor Slomanson ensured I had all the tools necessary to be successful in his procedure classes. Professor Wildenthal spent his time advising me as I wrote my law review note. During bar prep, Professor Matsumoto and Professor Berenson both answered every email, allowed me to walk in to discuss related issues, and instilled the necessary confidence in my ability to pass the bar exam! After passing California, Professor Matsumoto even provided additional assistance with the Texas Bar.

Stella observes that: “TJSL wants you to be successful. That’s clearly evident by the professors and staff doing everything to help you. Even after graduating and passing two bar exams, TJSL staff and professors still welcomed me with open arms, and helping hands, during my search for the perfect position at SDG&E. My time at TJSL has thus been an incredible experience. With all the dedicated professors, staff, and students (especially when I delivered my baby son in the midst of one semester), TJSL has left a profound impact on my life. I thank TJSL for everything and credit the school for my success today!”
