Three of the top ten legal markets in the United States are Los Angeles (No. 4), San Francisco, (No. 7), and San Diego (No. 9). The only cities that rank higher in the number of attorney positions than these three combined cites are New York, Washington, DC, and Chicago.
There are a number of high-profile legal markets in California in addition to these three powerhouse cities. These legal communities include: Beverly Hills, Costa Mesa, Fresno, Glendale, Irvine, Long Beach, Menlo Park, Mountain View, Newport Beach, Oakland, Orange, Palo Alto, Pasadena, Redwood City, Riverside, Sacramento, San Jose, Santa Ana, Santa Barbara, Santa Monica, Santa Rosa, Stockton, Sunnyvale, and Walnut Creek.
