Option Two: Project Japan
This Friday the 18, we are trying to raise money for the Red Cross relief efforts in Japan. The event is called “Project Japan.” Project Japan is a contest among students, faculty, and guests, to see who can raise the most money in a two-hour time period for Japan’s relief efforts. People will be paired into groups, given jars, and sent out into the East Village/Gaslamp area to see who can obtain the most donations in a two-hour time period.
Sign-in for the event will begin at 5:00 p.m. in the first floor lobby of Thomas Jefferson School of law. The actual event will begin at 6:00 p.m. in the first floor lobby.
Details may change between now and Friday but for any information please email Lance Henry at henryl@tjsl.edu. Due to the fact this event is taking place on such short notice, we are still in the process of securing sponsorship and prizes for first place. Please show your support by informing everyone you know to participate. See you this Friday!
Finally, this Saturday, March 19, the Japanese Friendship garden will be having the Cherry Blossom Festival. More information can be found here: http://www.niwa.org/cherry-blossom-festival
