TJSL Alumna Anna Romanskaya ’07 has been sworn-in as the new president of the San Diego County Bar Association’s New Lawyer Division. Eric Ganci ’08 is also a new NLD director.

“I am very excited about the NLD presidency and I am looking forward to an exciting year ahead,” said Romanskaya. “This year, our focus will be on providing programming and services to our membership that will provide them the ability to become more directly and personally involved. You can look forward to relevant and informative monthly Continuing Legal Education seminars, interactive networking events, exciting Signature Events in the spring and the fall, and supportive mentoring programs. You can also expect to see a year long public service initiative as well as informative and relevant articles in our monthly publication, For the Record. Along with our popular events, you will also see new collaborations with standing SDCBA sections as well as several new programming surprises. Overall, 2011 plans to be an engaging and productive year and I look forward to seeing all of you at our upcoming events.”

“The NLD Board is full of quality attorneys, truly invested in giving back to San Diego by way of CLE’s, events, publications, and everything in between,” said Ganci. “It’s an honor to serve with this fantastic team!”

The ceremony was held on Friday, December 3, at the bar association’s offices and the oath was administered by Judge Maureen Hallahan.

According to the SDCBA’s website, “The NLD…which is made up of bar association members who have been in practice for fewer than seven years…helps bridge the gap between law school and real world legal practice by hosting events geared towards the needs and interests of new lawyers, in the areas of: continuing legal education, networking, mentoring, civility and community service.”
