Title: TJSL Alumni Association hosts Open House and Continuing Legal Education for alumni

January 27, 2025

On Saturday, January 25, 2025, the TJSL Alumni Association hosted an Open House and offered 3 “hard to get” Continuing Legal Education (CLE) sessions. The first session, Avoiding Malpractice, was delivered by Deborah Wolfe. The second session, Ethics and Trust Account, was delivered by David Carr. The third session, Managing and Running a Law Firm, was delivered by Omid Rejali and Oscar Maria. Overall, 32 alumni attended the Open House and engaged with each other and the presenters and shared lunch and networked. Salim Khawaja, President of the Alumni Association Board, commented, “We are pleased to come together as alumni for this CLE day, and each session was informative and all of us enjoyed seeing each other and interacting. We plan to do more Open House CLE sessions in the near future.” Dean Dekle was also in attendance, and remarked, “I was pleased with the turnout, and found the questions from participants to be very relevant to the issues of the day – navigating the new bar rules around ethics and trust account and how to integrate some virtual and AI elements into solo practice was particularly interesting. I look forward to welcoming more alumni to campus in the near future.”
