THOMAS JEFFERSON SCHOOL OF LAW IS PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE PRESIDENT KARIN SHERR AND DEAN LINDA KELLER WILL CONTINUE TO LEAD THE LAW SCHOOL
June 16, 2020
The Board of Trustees of Thomas Jefferson School of Law announced today that both Interim President Sherr and Interim Dean Keller will continue to serve the Law School as its President and Dean, respectively. The announcement follows the Board’s quarterly meeting wherein the Board decided to forego a nationwide search to fill the positions. “The Board is very pleased with the dedication and commitment both President Sherr and Dean Keller have demonstrated and does not believe a further search is necessary,” said Chairman of the Board Randy Grossman. “They have navigated tough waters and have strengthened the position of the Law School since taking over the lead roles. This is the leadership the Law School needs at this time,” Grossman added.
Over the last year, Sherr and Keller led the effort to relocate the Law School’s campus to the heart of downtown San Diego. They also gained approval for an ABA teachout of its current students, and spearheaded the transition to a California Bar certified law school. “I am excited to be a part of this new chapter,” Sherr said. “For over 50 years the Law School has provided much needed access to justice and opportunity to represent the underserved population in San Diego. I look forward to continuing to lead such a remarkable institution.”
Keller, who has been a member of the Law School faculty for 17 years and previously served as Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, shares Sherr’s commitment to the School and its mission. “I appreciate the faith placed in me by the Board of Trustees. I am inspired and energized by the students and graduates of Thomas Jefferson School of Law. I look forward to continuing to work with an excellent staff and faculty to support all members of our community.”
Please join the Board in congratulating President Sherr and Dean Keller as they continue to serve in these important leadership roles.
