Thomas Jefferson Clinic Students Meet With US Patent & Trademark Office Representative!
April 9, 2019
On March 26, United States Patent & Trademark Office representative Timothy Rooney (second from the right) met with students, supervising attorneys, and the faculty director of the Thomas Jefferson School of Law’s Small Business Law Center (SBLC). The clinic represents small businesses, non-profit organizations, and independent inventors with business formation and patent & trademark application matters. The SBLC has a reputation of being one of the most innovative clinics, for example, using the PTO’s “make special” patent application procedure more than other schools with patent clinics. Graduates of the program have gone on to be transactional lawyers with major firms, in-house lawyers, and successful practitioners running their own law firms.
