San Diego Volunteer Lawyer Program Honors Sabrina Andres (’18) and Norell Manning (’16)!
April 9, 2019
Recently, the San Diego Volunteer Lawyer Program (SDVLP) honored Sabrina Andres (’18) and Norell Manning (’16) for their pro bono work with the organization at their Volunteer Appreciation and Awards Reception. The reception was held at the Bali Hai Restaurant in San Diego. Andres received the Distinguished Service Award for contributing a minimum of 150 hours of pro bono work. She worked out of SDVLP’s Vista office, which provides services for victims of domestic violence and elder abuse.
Manning was one of seven recipients of the SDVLP Standout Award for her “exceptional contributions” to an SDVLP clinic. She made her contribution at the Temporary Restraining Order Clinic at the Central Courthouse assisting victims of domestic violence. Manning also received a Wiley W. Manuel Award for Pro Bono Legal Services from the California Lawyers Association. This award was a complete surprise to Manning who did not know she was a recipient until the evening of the event.
