Judge Joel Wohlfeil (’80) and Attorney Danna Cotman (’96) to Receive Awards at 12th Annual Judicial Mixer

Two accomplished alumni will receive awards at the 12th Annual Judicial Mixer, which will be held on November 7. The Honorable Joel R. Wohlfeil (JD ’80) will receive the law school’s Judicial Service Award. Since January 2011, San Diego County Superior Court Judge Wohlfeil has served in a Civil IC assignment, presiding in Department 73 of the Hall of Justice in downtown San Diego. Prior to that, he was assigned to the Family Law Division. He was recognized in 2013 as Judge of the Year by the Consumer Attorneys of San Diego. Attorney Danna Cotman (JD ’96) will receive the Outstanding Service to the Community Award. Ms. Cotman is the owner and founder of ARC IP Law, a boutique intellectual property firm in La Jolla. She serves as a Pro Tem Judge in the San Diego Superior Court, Small Claims and Traffic Division. She has also served in leadership positions in Lawyers Club of San Diego, including as president from 2018-2019.
