JSD Candidate Dr. John Baiden Successfully Defends His Dissertation

Dr. John E. Baiden successfully defended his J.S.D. dissertation on March 9th. The candidate, appearing via GoToMeeting from Ghana, first presented his work. He then fielded questions from his subject matter expert Dr. Augustine Gockel (formerly of University of Ghana), and two outside evaluators: Dr. Josiah De-Graft Quansah (Central University, Ghana) and Dr. Peter Alex Wiredu (formerly Director of the Ghana Immigration Service). Also present were senior administrator in charge of the JSD program Dr. Susan Bisom-Rapp (Thomas Jefferson School of Law), co-director of the JSD program Dr. Robert Munro (Thomas Jefferson School of Law), and Ms. Nancy Anzalone (Thomas Jefferson School of Law), who ran the technology making this international oral defense possible. Dr. Baiden’s dissertation is titled “Does Mandatory Currency Stability Law Determine the Stability and/or Prosperity of a Country?” Congratulations, Dr. Baiden!
