Elizabeth “Libby” Jamison (’06) Named 2019 Military.com Spouse Changemaker of the Year!

Elizabeth (“Libby”) Jamison (’06) was recently named the 2019 Military.com Spouse Changemaker of the Year for her advocacy work on military spouse employment issues, including passage of the California military spouse attorney licensing rule earlier this year. Earlier this year, The California Supreme Court approved amendments to the Rules of Court, including the adoption of Rule 9.41.1, which establishes special admission for Registered Military Spouse Attorneys. This rule allows attorneys the ability to practice law in California for up to five years while their active duty service member spouse is on orders in California. This change was championed by Jamison as part of her work as board member and past president of the Military Spouse JD Network. The Network is an organization dedicated to supporting and advocating for military spouses in the legal profession. Jamison told Military.com that “I’m incredibly grateful for this recognition from Military.com and the opportunity to highlight the hard work being done by so many amazing organizations to improve outcomes for career-minded military spouses.”
