Ben Aguilar ‘11 Presented with San Diego County Bar Association’s 2015 Service Award

Ben Aguilar ’11 was honored with the San Diego County Bar Association’s 2015 Service Award for Outstanding Service by a New Lawyer.
Friends, family and colleagues gathered at the Westin San Diego Hotel on May 1, 2015 for the Annual Awards Luncheon to congratulate the winners and to celebrate the spirit of giving back. The luncheon was attended by Thomas Jefferson’s Professors Lilys McCoy and Bill Slomanson, Associate Director of Career Services Paula Gluzman, Director of Alumni Relations Stephanie Marquez and graduates from the law school Jill Cremeans ’05, Eric Overholt ’06, Angelica Sciencio ’09 and Patrick Long ’10.
This award recognizes outstanding service by a new lawyer in his or her first 6 full years of practice who has demonstrated a significant commitment to serving the legal community via legal education, mentoring or community service efforts.
Aguilar took this opportunity to thank his friends and colleagues from San Diego Law Raza Lawyers and the Tom Homann Law Association for their support. He also highlighted the role Thomas Jefferson School of Law played in his career and thanked the law school’s faculty, staff and administration for believing in his potential and for supporting his projects and aspirations over the past 7 years.
