Richard Sheridan

Richard Sheridan spent 32 years at Scripps Health, a $3.5 billion company operating hospitals and clinics, including serving as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary. He retired in 2020 as Executive Vice President responsible for the organization's legal functions, human resources, employee learning, internal audit, compliance, information security, risk management, quality improvement and patient experience. Richard taught at UCSD (2012-2015) and California Western Schoolof Law (2011-2018). He served on the Board and as President of the California Society for Healthcare Attorneys and on the Boards of The Whittier Institute for Diabetes (1996-2009) and Pawsitive Teams (2021-present). Richard has a BA in History from Lawrence University (1979) and a JD from Boston University Law School (1984).
