Professor Roden is an experienced corporate attorney employed by ClickUp, a productivity Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) company based in San Diego, where he is involved in a wide array of practice areas, including commercial contracting, privacy compliance, marketing and advertising, and intellectual property. Prior to joining ClickUp, Prof. Roden was a law clerk for JYTLAW, a small business practice based in San Diego; and an associate attorney at Patel & Almeida P.C., a boutique trademark firm in Encino, CA. During his career, he has helped countless clients obtain U.S. trademark registrations and advised on various intellectual property matters.
Prof. Roden first developed his interest in intellectual property law as a student in Thomas Jefferson School of Law’s Trademark Clinic, where he successfully registered several trademarks on behalf of its clients. During his time at Thomas Jefferson School of Law, Prof. Roden also participated in Study Abroad programs in Hangzhou, China, and Nice, France; served as Vice-President of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Society; and competed in the Philip C. Jessup International Moot Court Competition.
Prof. Roden is a volunteer supervising attorney in the Patent & Trademark Clinic.
