Bix Bettwy is Associate General Counsel at Business Insider, where he counsels the newsroom on a variety of legal issues including First Amendment, copyright, trademark, contracts, public records requests, and more.  Before starting at Business Insider, Bix was an associate at Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan.  At Thomas Jefferson, he previously co-taught Civil Procedure and currently co-teaches Torts.

In law school, Bix was on both the Law Review (as an executive editor) and the Law Revue (as a drummer in the pit band). In a former life, he was an actor, composer, and (briefly) Ethan Hawke's personal assistant.
