Successful Annual Alumni & Friends Tailgate Party

Good food, good friends and great conversations were all part of the Annual Alumni & Friends Tailgate party which took place on Saturday, August 22, 2015.

More than 150 Thomas Jefferson faculty, staff, students and alums mixed and mingled before heading off to see the Padres play the Cardinals.  

On the day of the tailgate party Thomas Jefferson Padres Committee Chair, Sabrina Green ‘02, along with Alumni helpers, once again brought everything together, including drinks, food and bags of peanuts and M&M’s for tailgaters to take to the game.

Alumni Board member Michael Weiner ’09, once again, fired up the grill.

“Hats off to Sabrina Green ’02, Michael Weiner ’09, and Alumni Relations Director Stephanie Marquez for hitting a home run with the Annual Alumni & Friends Tailgate at Petco Park,” said Jeremy Evens ’11, Alumni Association President.

“I am always thrilled to see our Thomas Jefferson community join together for this annual event,” said Stephanie Marquez, Director of Alumni Relations. “It’s a wonderful way to get alumni connected with current students, while they also reconnect with their fellow graduates.” Some tailgaters’ even took advantage of the opportunity to hang out with Dean Thomas Guernsey in the fun, casual environment.

The next alumni event will be the 2nd Annual Alumni Weekend held on October 8-10, 2015, which will include the Judicial Officers Mixer, 20th Annual Golf Tournament, MCLE Seminar and Alumni Award Reception.
