Recent Judicial Appointments

Thomas Jefferson School of Law is proud to highlight the recent judicial appointments of our alumni to the Superior Court in California by Governor Gavin Newsom.
Stephanie L. Negin (2007), of Clovis, has been appointed to serve as a Judge in the Fresno County Superior Court. Judge Negin has served as a Senior Defense Attorney at the Fresno County Public Defender’s Office since 2007.
Alexander J. Pal (2008) of Carmichael, has been appointed to serve as a Judge in the Sacramento County Superior Court. Pal has served as Chief Counsel at the California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services since 2018, where he has served in several positions since 2013, including as Acting Chief Counsel, Assistant Chief Counsel, Senior Counsel and Staff Counsel. He was an Associate at the Law Offices of Stawicki and Maples from 2009 to 2013.
Michael Domenzain (2008) of Imperial, has been appointed to serve as a Judge in the Imperial County Superior Court. Domenzain has served as a Referee at the Imperial County Superior Court since 2018. He served as a Deputy District Attorney at the Imperial County District Attorney’s Office from 2009 to 2018 and was an Adjunct Professor at the University of Phoenix from 2014 to 2020.
