May 2013 TJSL graduate Alexander Leigh is going to be working for the Cohen Law Firm as an associate. The firm represents both retired and active professional athletes in their workers’ compensation claims. They are panel counsel for the NFL Players’ Association and the MLB Players’ Association and represent athletes in all professional sports including the four major sporting leagues, the minor leagues, WNBA, National Lacrosse League – any sport where a player is employed professionally.
The Cohen Law Firm is also representing roughly 1,000 retired NFL players in the mass tort action against the NFL for misrepresentation and concealment of concussion information.
“I have been clerking for them for the past two years (after 1L Summer),” said Leigh. “One of my bosses is a TJSL Alum (Roy La Francis ‘94.) My TJSL experience helped me prepare for this opportunity by providing me with an effective legal skill set allowing me to complete legal tasks assigned to me, and that hard work is the key to success.”
