ALSA’s Panel with the Attorneys

November 20, 2013

By Najda Aslanyan (3L)

On November 13th, the Armenian Law Students Association put together a panel that hosted three successful attorneys who shared their law school experiences and gave advice to students on how to become the go-to attorney.

Each panelist was invited to speak to the students due to their unique perspective and approach on the area of law that they practice in.

Students were able to gain beneficial information and practical insights about different areas of law from self-starting professionals like Joshua Bonnici, Jeremy Evans, and Marcus DeBose.

Students who attended the panel thought that they had gained a better understanding of mass torts, personal injury, criminal defense, business and entertainment law.

Marcus DeBose, one of the guest speakers, stated that he was “delighted to accept the invitation from President Aslanyan to speak at the TJSL Armenian Law Students Association” and that he was “impressed with the level of insight and professionalism displayed by the students in their questions.” He emphasized how significant it is to help out the “soon to be new attorneys wade through the important transition from student to working professional.”

The panel presentation gave students an opportunity to meet professionals who were once in their shoes, decide what area of law interests them the most, obtain networking tactics and enjoy some great Mediterranean food.

Thank you to all who made this panel a successful event!
