Jeremy M. Evans is the Managing Attorney at California Sports Lawyer®, representing sports and entertainment professionals in contract drafting, negotiations, licensing, and career growth. He provides legal advice and general counsel services for businesses, which includes development, contract drafting, review, negotiations, protection, and compliance. He is often heard on ESPN radio and has written for Dodgers Nation, Scoutables, Front Office Sports, San Diego Lawyer, Law Newz, Entertainment & Sports Lawyer, and other publications, including Editor-in-Chief for the official magazine of the Solo & Small Firm Section of the State Bar of California. Evans is an award-winning attorney and community leader. As the Director, Jeremy oversees the Competition, the Advisory Committee, its mission, fact pattern drafting, logistics, and the delivery of an excellent experience.
Brandon Leopoldus, Esq. '10
Brandon Leopoldus is a Sports Lawyer at Gerard Fox Law, P.C. in Los Angeles. His practice is focused in the areas of business, employment, entertainment, and sports law. He represents a number of sports officials including some at the Major League level and he is a contributing writer to Referee Magazine. After completing a career as a Minor League Baseball umpire, he worked in the front office of the Mountain Collegiate Baseball League as the Director of Baseball Operations before attending Thomas Jefferson School of Law and working for Mandalay Sports Properties. As part of the Advisory Committee, Brandon is responsible for providing insight and ideas from the sports law world, editing the negotiation fact patterns, while assisting with bringing in judges for the Competition.
Jonathan M. Stahler, Esq. '14
Jonathan M. Stahler is licensed to practice in both Florida state and federal courts and an associate at KENNER + IMPARATO, PLLC. Mr. Stahler is also a Certified NBPA Agent. He is a graduate of Syracuse University and the David B. Falk Center for Sport Management, cum laude, with a B.S. in Sport Management. He received his law degree from Thomas Jefferson School of Law and his Certificate for Sports Law and Policy from the Center for Sports Law and Policy. While in law school, Mr. Stahler was a member of the Moot Court Honor Society and Alternative Dispute Resolution Society, competing in a variety of sports and entertainment law competitions. Mr. Stahler brings extensive knowledge and passion working in sports, entertainment, and the law. His experiences working for SAG-AFTRA, Encore Sports & Entertainment, and 360 Sports LLC have helped increase his desire to positively affect and protect athletes, entertainers, and their families. He has been published in the Arizona State University Sports & Entertainment Law Journal, Spring 2014 edition writing about college athletes and compensation.
